Lilia was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she studied painting and scenography. She came to the UK to further study Fashion at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design. Following graduation she worked for Boudicca, Hamish Morrow, did a stint at i-D magazine and assisted various stylists, after which she began her own styling career.

Lilia lives and works in London.
